Cask @ Victorian Craft Beer Café, Halifax. Mahogany-red in colour with creamy head. Dryish tasting, so its texture aligns with its biscuit ingredients, with some of these evident in its taste, but ultimately it’s low in flavours. There’s not much to suggest this is a stout either.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Extremely dark with an off-white creamy head. The cherry influence is more in texture than taste, as theres no stated aromas or flavour here, just hints behind a subdued roasted malt. Has a lovely smooth palatable texture.

Bottle from Trembling Madness in York. Appearance - amber with a nice fluffy head. Nose - orange and resin. Some leafy notes too, like kaffir lime. Taste - orange and lime leaf well integrated and a resin backdrop. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - an enjoyable ipa.
