Bottle 33 cl. Pours a slightly hazy amber with some floating impurities and a small, creamy, beige head. Discreet banana and clove aroma, but also a discreet hint of phenols. Medium-bodied, slightly caramelly, again faint banana with a discreet tartness - not in an infected way though. Amber style Hefeweizen - not a Wit. 040225

Bottle from Hopt. Aroma is sweetish malt with smoke, caramel, smoked meats, some ashy notes. Flavour is medium sweet with a good moderate bitterness. Body is medium. On-point French Rauchbier, stranger things have happened.

Taste: fruity start, malty,very yeasty, some banana, soapy, some solvents, rather unpleasant. Aftertaste: soapy, bitter, hoppy, yeasty, meh. A bit of a mess...

Bottle 33 cl. Pours slightly hazy amber with big lumps of yeast in the bottle, a tiny, off-white film of a head. Sweet fruity and lightly caramelly nose, no real trace of Sorachi Ace. Medium body, flowery, soapy, spicy with a slight caramel sweetness. Again no Sorachi. Hardly any bitterness. 181224 5/2/4/3/10=2.4
