Bottle @ home. Clear yellow to golden color, medium sized quickly diminishing off-white head. Smell malts, grainy, lightly herbs or spices. Taste malts, some herbs, grains and a slight citrussy touch. A bit fizzy carbonation, average body.

Bedankt Kraddel – 33 cl. fles gedeeld. Lichtjes waterig. Yeah…

33cl bottle @ home. Huge white head on top of a clear orange-copper colored beer. Head lasts for quite a long time and leaves fair lacing. Smell malts, yeast and something weird, I can’t quite figure it out. Taste malts, a slight sourish hint coming through, yeast, a hint of unripe fruits. Pretty dry finish. Medium carbonation, but a fairly low body.

33cl bottle: best before 19 Oct 2012, poured into a ’Hougaerdse DAS’ badged tumbler on 7 Aug 2012. Slight haze to this pale yellow/light golden beer: on top a swiftly leaving white head that started thin and soon became a wisp and collar. Wheaty smell, with yeast esters and some coriander hints: add citrusy notes too. The taste is typical Belgian Witbier (I default towards Hoegaarden for this): refreshing and semi-bitter/sour with orange/coriander thoughts. Not a huge fan of this style, but this is one of the best I’ve come across.

33cl Bottle: best before 4th Oct 2012, poured into a ’Coors Banquet’ badged flute on 2nd Aug 2012. Another beer brewed for a Beer Shop on the Belgian coast. Left quiet a lot in the bottle, so fairly clear body of a reddy/light brown colour with a large white (with a rosey tint) head of foam on top. Apples and berries in the nose along with something sugary. The taste was also sweet fruits: too sweet for my liking, so my wife finished the glass. Scored it as objectively as I could!
