Aroma: It has a nutty and malty nose, with some caramel, and plenty of spice
Appearance: This one pours a brown color, with a small beige head, and light lace
Flavor: This one has a fairly sweet flavor, it is pretty heavy malty, with some spice as well
Palate: It has a medium-plus body, a fairly thick feel, it is a little sticky, and kind of creamy as well
Overall Impression: I found this one to be interesting and quite sweet. It is well made with a lot of flavor. Nice stuff.

Growler from Canal’s in Lawrenceville, NJ. Cloudy amber orange color. Small creamy white head with nice lacing. Huge piney grapefruit hop aroma. Rich buttery toasted malt flavor is quickly dominated by a big resiny grapefruit hoppiness. Plenty of peppery spiciness in finish. This is very well balanced and well crafted. As DIPA’s go, this is outstanding without being overpowering.

Growler from brewery. Pours black with tan head. Nose is cinnamon, coffee, cocoa and light chili pepper - some herbal notes. Taste is same. The coffee treatment really comes through and balances out the flavors. Would still like a little more pepper heat. Medium body.

Draft at brewery. Pours black with tan head. Nose and taste of citrus, orange rind, vanilla, tangerine, roast chocolate malt, grapefruit and light coffee. Medium body. Citrus is very prominent and upfront. The best of the day.
