Cask handpump at the Plough, Chelmsford. Golden brown colour with a small slightly off-white head. Nice aroma of hops, straw and grass, floral with a touch of citrus. Medium body, slightly bitter finish pitched at right level. A very nice couple of pints enjoyed whilst watching the Cricket.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW, London. Pours clear, rich gold with a fine, white cream head. Dry bread, lightly toasted dough, moderate leafy bitterness. A pretty standard bitter. Fair balance. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Light dry, bitter leaves to finish, further toasty bread. OK.

Willow Walk, Victoria 2 Nov 11. JDW festivaløl. Gyldenbrun. Tett, litt farget skum. God plommearoma. Smaken det samme med en tørr, syrlig avslutning. Innslag av mandler.

Cask @ JDW Becketts Bank, 011112
Dark amber, clear, thin white head with some lacing
Aroma of light sweet fruity malts, hint of honey
Taste - sweet soft fruity malts, soft sweet citrus hops, light caramel
Palate - soft carb, light body. Finish as main flavour, rapid, slight bitter linger
Overall - Plain stuff but it’s OK
