Warning! Early amateur rating! Pint in a St Hellier boozer, Jersey. Served as ’Jersey Cream Ale’. Wasn’t until a couple of years later and meeting the brewers they confirmed this was Mary Ann. Sweet and creamy ale, good carbonation. Served cold. Best pint in Jersey!

Cask at the Prince Arthur (JDW), Fleet. Amber with a dense cream head; aroma of oranges; smooth creamy texture with orange fruit and biscuit flavours; and a dry finish. A very easy drinking session ale.

Cask-conditioned at the Staple hill Oak, Bristol 14/11/10. Golden coloured with a decent white head. Light, grassy hop and sweet malt aroma. Flavour had a touch of citrus fruit, straw and sweet malts, before a moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Cask @ Crystal Palace, JDW. Light golden colour, white head. Aroma is light malted, bit of butter. Flavour is light malted, slight buttery and fruity.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2010. Dark brown/ruby. Lasting beige head. Some ash on the malts, but some ok choc too. Some milky choc on the aroma. Pretty good darkish noire. Some decent choc. Still some sulphur. But decent choc.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2010. Reddy brown, lasting beige head. Some fruity malt. Bit dullish to be honest. Fine, some good vitterness onend. But could do with a bit more fruitiness. Bit too sulphur as brewer said. But decent. Re-rate. Bit better than before but tea flavour us there and could be fruitier. Good condition though.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2010. Deep gold, big beige head. Slightly bitter, bitter with a touch of Biere de Garde. Touch of pepper harshness on finish. It’s a bitter that is bitter.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2010. Gold, clear thin off white head. Fine golden ale, I mean down the line golden ale, ok pale malts. Some lemon citrus hops. Just a touch of fart on aroma. Just a bit light. OK bitterness.

Cask@GBBF2010. Black/deep ambery brown colour with small beigeish brown head. Aroma s fruits, wood, roasted malts smoked wet wood and some mild toffee. Flavour is dark fruits, roasted malts, some toffee and mild nectary ntoes as well. Very pleasantly balanced. Finally I got to taste a good product from this brewery!

Cask@GBBF2010. Reddish amber colour, small head. Aroma is pretty much diarrhea like (lots of berries, some yeast and sweetish malts). Flavour is grassy, grainy, yeasy and a bit berryish. If this beer was in condition, it doesn’t suit me at all.
