Cask, handpump at The Shoulder of Mutton, Wantage, Oxon 29.07.11 Pours amber with a white bubbly head. Fruity with a dab of toffee. Touch chewy, little bit of freshly laundered clothing on nose now and then some caramel in mouth. There is a streak of confectionary throughout this beer but it’s a bit like one of those sweets brought back from foreign excursions, i.e. looks great but tastes unusual. A7 A3 T6 P3 Ov13 3.2

Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading. Copper coloured with a fruity aroma; fruity malt flavour, and a crisp lightly bitter finish. These monthly offerings from WB are all good beers, but are beginning to seem very much the same to me.

Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading. A rich and malty beer with a chestnut brown colour, rather different from the usual West Berks monthly beer, and very nice too.
