Cask at the Crispin, Wokingham. Dark magohany with a tight cream head; the body is rather thin with sweet fruit and deeply roasted, nutty, malts; giving a drying finish. Very drinkable.

Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading. Mahogany with a ruby glow against the light and a loose coffee coloured head; muted aroma of bramble fruit; sweet in the mouth and full of jammy fruit at first, then dry from richly roasted malts; and finally the hops give an even drier finish. Really enjoyable.

18/02/2012 Brasserie 4:20 (cask). Bevuta al Real Ale Beer Festival direttamente dal cask. Dorata, lievemente torbida, schiuma assente. Al naso sentori di malto con note fruttate di mela e pera. In bocca è equilibrata, morbida, rinfrescante con delicata luppolatura inglese. Scarica di corpo, carbonazione soft ma non troppo. Molto beverina, gradevole, ben fatta.
