[500ml bottle - gift from the in-laws - cheers!] Pale amber with a moderate white head and a slight fizz. Tempting sweet and and spicy aroma, with loads of wheat chaff. The aroma continues into the flavour, the orangey sweetness lending an almost syrupy mouthfeel whilst the gingery spice combined with the fizz leaves your tongue tingling. It’s all offset with a decent bitterness with the classic English hop flavours of earth and farmyards. Mellow and relaxing, yet refreshing at the same time.- a great beer, and a pleasant surprise from a brewery I’m not normally that keen on.

Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading. Amber with a thin white head, leaving lots of lacing; straightforward malty aroma; crisp malty flavour with a dry finish. Rather insubstantial, yet still pleasantly drinkable. Not the best WB, but worth a try.
