Description
Started brewing as West Berkshire Brewery at the Pot Kiln, Frilsham, Yattendon.
We create well-balanced and flavourful beers. Employing traditional techniques and championing British ingredients, we have a range of beers and styles that showcase the very best of British beer. We have won over 45 awards since we started brewing in 1995.
In 2021 the brewery was rescued from administration by Yattendon Estates and the name was changed to Renegade Brewery.

Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading. Golden colour with a thin off-white head; fruity aroma; sweet and fruity flavours with genle dry hops to finish. Rather ordinary, and not one of WB’s best efforts.

Cask at The Royal Oak, Wantage, Oxon, 26-01-10 Cheers to Peter from Pitstop brewery for buying me this beer. Pours warm gold, medium bitterness, touch dry, good maltyness, a tasty nice beer as you would expect from West Berkshire. A6 A4 F7 P4 Ov13 3.4

(Cask at Gallows Real Ale Fest ’10) Poured deep dark brown and clear with small and white head. Aroma contained home-brew and molasses. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were roastedness, mildly molasses, little sweetness, berries and bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty and bitter.

(Cask at Gallows Real Ale Fest ’10) Poured amber and clear with dense, white and small head. Aroma contained malts and toffee. Palate was medium bodied and dry with low carbonation. Flavours were malts, mild roastedness, toffee, hops, bisquit and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter.

Cask (Gravity) in hotel room Sheffield (RBESG 2009). Amber/Brown color, medium head. Caramel, toffee aromas. Toffee taste, roasted nuts, some honey taste. So and so. More of a brown ale than a bitter.

Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading. Gold with a thin white head; herbal aroma with traces of ginger; soft, soapy, body with sweet malts and more ginger; the finish is lightly bitter with toffee and ginger flavours. Pleasant.

Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, toffee, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.
