Description
Started brewing as West Berkshire Brewery at the Pot Kiln, Frilsham, Yattendon.
We create well-balanced and flavourful beers. Employing traditional techniques and championing British ingredients, we have a range of beers and styles that showcase the very best of British beer. We have won over 45 awards since we started brewing in 1995.
In 2021 the brewery was rescued from administration by Yattendon Estates and the name was changed to Renegade Brewery.

Cask@Bishops Stortford Beer Festival 2010. Deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is nutty, mildly honeyish with some roasted malts and mildly liquorice. Flavour is very pleasant honey, roasted malts, toffee and some grass. Very pleasant and smooth mild ale.

From cask at Southampton Arms. Pours cloudy to hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is butterish and malty. Bitter, mild citric and quite butterish malty flavoured. Bitter and dry finish. Flat malty.

Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading. Golden brown with a ring of cream head; muddy malt aroma; sweet grainy malt flavour with a touch of blackberry fruit; and a lightly bitter finish. Not one of WB’s best efforts.

Cask at Windsor locale beer festival 2010. An amber coloured pour with slight head. Fruity aroma. Tastes hoppy, fruity, malty, floral. Easy drinking ale.

Cask (Queen’s Arms, Basingstoke) - Copper coloured. Fruity aroma with hints of dried fruit and caramel. Fruity and malty taste with caramel, raisins and some hoppy hints.

Golden amber ... thin white bubbly head ... soft light lemon hop nose ... zezty lemon peel ... bright sweet grapefruit ... quite hoppy ...and almost lagery .... but not enough to ruin it ... again im quite liking it.

Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading. Amber coloured with a billowing white head; malty aroma; chewy malt flavour with some clean English hops and toffee malts to finish. A very pleasant session bitter.

Live rating. Drinking now at the Southampton Arms, London on 18th May 2010. Cask via hand pump. Deep brown-red with part lacing white head. Caramel background with spicy kick - slightly herbal and quite aromatic. Late, but satisfying bitterness in aftertaste.
