Description
Started brewing as West Berkshire Brewery at the Pot Kiln, Frilsham, Yattendon.
We create well-balanced and flavourful beers. Employing traditional techniques and championing British ingredients, we have a range of beers and styles that showcase the very best of British beer. We have won over 45 awards since we started brewing in 1995.

In 2021 the brewery was rescued from administration by Yattendon Estates and the name was changed to Renegade Brewery.

Cask (gravity) @ The National Winter Ales Festival 2008, Manchester, UK. Clear light to medium yellow orange color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, toasted, moderate hoppy, flowers, lemon. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. (180108)

Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading. Gold with a cream head; aroma of orange; and a bitter orangey flavour; leading to a gently bitter finish. A straightforward and simple session beer.

Cask at the Bull Inn, Stanford Dingley, Berkshire. A pale chestnut colour with a beige head; citrus and floral aroma; predominantly orange flavour; pepery and gently bitter finish. Worth the trip to deepest rural Berkshire to seek it out.

Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading, Berkshire. West Berkshire’s beer of the month for June.Golden colour with a trace of white head; grassy hop aroma; orange and caramel flavours; and a rounded bitter finish. Pleasant but not outstanding.

Cask hand-pump at the Hobgoblin, Reading. Brilliantly clear copper colour with a trace of a beige head, an excellent looking pint; floral and citrus aromas; an immediate citrus bite when first tasted, with sweet orange and grapefruit flavours; then a refreshing lightly bitter finish. A great beer for early summer.
