[500ml bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring.] Rich toffee brown colour with a thin tan head, fading quickly to a film; deep dried fruit aroma - raisins, dates and prunes; flavour is full of chewy malts with lots of fruit, some chocolate and a dry smoky finish. Excellent. The best from West Berkshire yet.

Cask at The Royal Blenheim in the company of Glen 09-11-08. Pours mid dark amber with bubbles clinging to the edge of the glass. Good lemony citrus bite to this, some sweetness, soft easy going bitterness, nice fruity tang.

[Cask at the Hobgoblin, Reading.] Gold with a thin off-white head. Evocative autumnal aroma, earthy with damp autumn leaves. Sour fruit flavours with caramel and treacle and a dry, dusty hop bitterness; then a sweet fruity finish with honey and roast chestnuts. Very good.
