Description
The Gyle 59 Brewery. Spring fed, log powered, propane driven, unfined, hazy crazy artisan beers. We want you to notice what you are drinking.

All our beers are created with one thing in mind - flavour. We are lucky enough to have a unique supply of spring water which we are using to good effect allowing the many different qualities of our ingredients to shine through.

From cask. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild citrusy. Light estery. Bitter, fruity, light bubblegum. Bitter and light estery finish.

From cask. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is herbal and nettles. Bitter, crisp hoppy and light herbal. Dry bitter and mild fruity. Herbal nettles and crisp finish.

Bottle from Ealing Beer Festival 2015, Ealing, London. A hazy straw coloured pour with a thin white head on top. Hoppy, fruity, spice aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, fruity, spice.

Bottle from Ealing Beer Festival 2015, Ealing, London. A hazy golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Ginger, spice aroma. Taste is ginger, spice, hoppy, slightly dry. Quite pleasant.

Cask at Ealing Beer Festival 2015, Ealing, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige bubbly head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate aroma. Tastes similar, roasty, malty, chocolate, liquorice. Nice porter.

Cask (gravity) @ EBF18 2014, 18th Egham Beer Festival, Egham United Services Club (EUSC), 111 Spring Rise, Egham, Surrey, England TW20 9PE. [ As Gyle 59 Nettle IPA ].Unclear matt medium yellow orange color with a small to average, open and frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, citrus, light rubber - plastic. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet fruit, riped fruity hops, hoppy. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20140807]

(Cask at Southampton Arms, Gospel Oak, London, 22 Apr 2015) Hazy pale amber colour with foamy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit and floral hops. Malty, hoppy taste with citrus, grapefruit, orange peel, biscuits and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Fresh and tasty. Nice one.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol March 2015. Deep gold in colour, and slightly hazy, with a decent, white, head. Perfumed, floral, hops, a touch of stone fruits, grainy, slightly yeasty, malts and moderately bitter finish. Enjoyable.

Bottle at Chriso easter tasting. Pale yellow golden coloured pour with a frothy white head. Aroma is perfumed, midget gems, floral hop. Flavour is composed of pale grains, lemon, spicy, floral hop, fruity lemon. Palate is pretty light with moderate carbonation, little lavender. Semi crisp. Pretty good.

On gravity at the Maltings beer festival, Newton Abbot 17/4/2015. Deep gold in colour, with a slight, white, head. Big citrus hop character, balancing biscuity malts, some sweet fruits and a dry finish. Enjoyable.
