Description
At present there are five of us working at the brewery – Luke and Stuart who assist with deliveries and the cleaning and filling of casks. In the office, there’s Julia AKA Fuzzy, who doubles as Droxford’s famous lollipop lady. She keeps all the paperwork in good order which is a good thing because this was a weakness of ours. The Bowman family is of course completed by Ray and myself.

Our beers have evolved over the years into three really popular regular brews and each month we have a 4.5% special on too.

Cask at the White Swan JDW, Solihull. Poured almost black with a lasting frothy off white head. The aroma is roasty malt. The flavour is liqourice bitter, with a smooth, roasty, smoky, slightly watery, light liqourice, light hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

275ml bottle: BB 21st Jul 2022. Bought by me with a 'Genga' block in a presentation box for a relation's Christmas present (2020), didn't get to give it. It was taken down to Devon and James and I shared it on 25th Jun 2021. So a belated present and I got to rate the beer too! Mini haze to the golden body, small but lasting white head. Simple blend with not much going on aroma or taste wise. Inoffensive and easy to drink. Think I found it in a local 'Home Bargains' store.

Half-pint, cask shared with Finn after breakfast at Wetherspoons Manchester. Steady pearl white head, dark amber body, laces well. Inviting smell of brown malts with a fruity cite. Malt-fruity flavours, caramel and dried fruits. Satisfying bittersweet ending. Quite nice. (Manchester 25.01.2020).
