Description
The organic brewing project of Gert Jordens, official since 2010 but active as a home brewer since 1999. Originally the beers were made at the Proefbrouwerij but production moved to Anders (and sometimes Strubbe) in 2013. One of the very few Belgian brewing companies which produce only organic beers; hops are exclusively sourced from Joris Cambie's organic hop farm in Poperinge. Exports 22% of its production, primarily to the Netherlands.

Bottle, 7%. Mild brown sugar aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Small stable light brown head. The flavour is roasted with a good creamy note. And dryish with a citric hint. Good mild carbonation.

Thanks! Sampled@ BBF 2014.Clear golden, little white head. Nose is iron, sweet corn, cereal, candy,… Taste is corn, sugar, cheap white sugar sweet, metallic, light sweetener,… Metallic body. Not sure what happened here but I usually expect something more decent than this from Jessenhofke.

(Draught at Delirium Hoppy Loft, Brussels, 22 Oct 2014) Golden colour, slightly hazy, with frothy white head, leaving traces of lacing. Fruity, malty nose with peaches, citrus, coriander and a touch of yeast. Fruity, malty taste with notes of citrus, tropical fruit, pineapple and a gentle spicy bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

(Draught at Delirium Tap Bar, Brussels, 22 Oct 2014) Hazy reddish brown colour with brief, beige head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with notes of dried fruit, figs, prunes and crisp-bread. Malty, slightly roasted taste with toast, dried fruit, figs, prunes, rye bread and a balanced spicy bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Quite bold and tasty, still fairly well balanced. Quite nice.

Hazy pale golden colour, one finger foamy white head, recedes slowly, fair lacing. Aroma hoppy, light citrus, yeast, soap. Taste medium sweet, light bitter, watery. Light body, thin texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste light bitter, light sour touch, bit peppery. Overall a refreshing low alcohol, light table beer.

Bottle @ home. Hazy orange golden color, average sized white head. Smell and taste malts, some yeast, some herbs or spices and something weird I can’t quite put my finger on but it reminds me of overripe fermenting fruits. Ok body, firm fizzy carbonation. Unbalanced and not very nice imo.

33cl bottle via the brewery. I was told it was an IPA but it isn’t. Thick creamy white head. Clear golden pour. Malty sweetness. Well hidden alcohol.
