Description
Fremont Brewing was born of our love for our home and history as well as the desire to prove that beer made with the finest local ingredients – organic when possible --, is not the wave of the future but the doorway to beer's history. Starting a brewery in the midst of the Great Recession is clearly an act of passion. We invite you to come along with us and enjoy that passion -- because beer matters.

On tap for Hard Liver '12, pours a murky dark orangey brown with a small tan head. Aroma of syrup, heaps of caramel, liqueur-covered fruits and licorice. Flavour is sugary sweet with syrup, brown sugar, caramel and candied sugar. Better than the nose suggests, but too sweet for me.

Bottle thanks to Scott. Pours a near clear orangish amber with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of grape fruit with some passion fruit and light grain. Flavor starts with light pine with sweet grains but has a good amount of passionfruit.

Bomber bought at Super 1 in CDA, ID. This bottle says 5.6% ABV. Pours hazy orange with a thick cream-colored rocky head with excellent retention and cobwebby lace. Aroma is citrusy hops backed by bready malts, neither all that assertive; I also get a bit of grain. Taste is bittersweet and sessionable. Finish is a bit bitter. Carbonation is medium and the body is medium-thin. Mouthfeel is creamy. Overall, a nice APA.
