Poured into a pilsener glass (I guess they didn't have any weizen glasses and thought a pilsener glass was close enough? Hmmm, eh, I didn't ask them, whatever, I guess).
Appearance: glossy burnt orange cloudiness with a certain chill haze about it and a slim cap of a bar pour's kind of head which tapered off at a nice pace but didn't leave any lace
Aroma: some banana esters, sweet wheat, crushed clove and a little bit of bubblegum
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a sweet to light spicy toned wheaty quality; finishes semi-sweet wheaty with a tart punch and subtle clove
Texture: medium bodied, sessionable; good smoothness and a nice " kick of wheat - somewhat better than their dunkelweizen; good carb level
Overall: pretty good hefeweizen I think I would come back to if I could.

On tap at C.H. Evans on 11/23/2019.
Appearance: dark brown color close to black in color with a slim cap of a khaki foamy head which tapered off at a nice pace but didn't leave much lace if any at all.
Aroma: some banana esters, light smoke, sweet wheat, slight clove tones and a little bit of cocoa powder
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a sweet to smoky toned wheaty semi-chocolatey arrangement; finishes semi-chocolatey with a light banana to smoky sweetness
Texture: medium bodied, somewhat sessionable; decent smoothness and a "subtle" kick of wheat but man oh man - that was a bit weak on that kick
Overall: I can't seem to find any further research anywhere else but part of me thinks that this was intentionally "smoked" which makes me wonder if it was then would that have scaled back the "kick?" Honestly, I don't know enough but I do believe I would come back to this. Also odd that the clove didn't show up more than just in the aroma...hmmm...

Appearance: dark amber close to dark brown color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: some lemon to mixed citrusy hop tones; punchy piney hops then a caramel/toffee malt base
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to bittersweet quality; finishes piney and lemony with some caramel malts
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness but also a medium to low hop bitterness assertiveness that to me isn't bothersome but just noticeable
Overall: not a bad amber ale that I think I could give another chance.

Appearance: glossy burnt yellow to almost copper color with a sly transparency about it and a quarter finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: floral to lemony hop scents up front with a sweet wheat tone in the backbone; touch of freshly cut grass underneath
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet quality backed by a subtle grassy to lemony slightly bitter tone underneath; finishes slightly bitter with a substantial floral sweetness
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; light smoothness with a light touch of wheat tangy-ness to slightly bite but mostly non-offensive
Overall: not a bad wheat ale I think I could come back to in warmer weather.

Appearance: muted copper/brassy color with a bar pour's kind of slim white foamy head which dissipated at a nice pace and barely left any lace
Aroma: citrusy sweet and bitter toned hops with some piney sweetness; light malty tones underneath
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to bitter to bittersweet quality; finishes leaning into the sweetness of the citrusy hops
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness along the tongue; seems like good carb
Overall: nice enough easy drinker of a pale ale that the second one went well with my cheesesteak sandwich.

Appearance: golden yellow to almost copper color with some transparency and a thin cap of a little bar pour's kind of white foamy head which settled off nicely to leave some light messy sticky lace
Aroma: sweet smoke; light clean biscuity malts, a whiff of caramel sweetness and a little ham sweetness at the very end
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet smoky maltiness; finishes the same way
Texture: light to medium bodied, very sessionable; very good smoothness and nothing distracting anywhere
Overall: nicely done smoked beer I would very willing to return to if I could.

Poured into a nonic glass.
Appearance: dark auburn/copper closer to the bottom with more of a substantial dark brown or even black closer to the top and middle then a finger's worth of eggshell white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: dark roasted malts, subtle cocoa powder and/or baker's chocolate, mixed citrusy to piney hops in the background but becoming bolder with more sips
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a fine roasty/sweet to bitter arrangement; finishes semi-dry with some nabbing piney hops
Texture: light to medium bodied - probably closer to medium; leaning towards being a sipper; light smoothness as some dryness gets slightly invasive and the palate wrecking capabilities seem fair to good for the style but not as strong as some other "black IPA's" tend to be
Overall: a mostly pretty nice "black IPA" - it's definitely not the weakest link of it's style but not the best either.

Poured into a lager glass.
Appearance: clear copper color with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely and left a little bit of light lace
Aroma: soft floral to mixed citrusy sort of hoppiness with a light malty backbone
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine bittersweet quality with a light zesty hop tone underneath; finishes somewhat zesty with a certain hop sweetness undercut by some clingy malts
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness to this but also a little bit of hop nicking to the tongue; good carb level
Overall: not a bad lager but to say it's a full fledged Czech pilsener might be a stretch.
