Reviewed this 3 years ago, and was nice to see this one come back in 750ml bottles. Pours a hazy golden-amber colour with a big frothy, creamy warm cap, great retention and loads of lacing. Hoppy nose with some fresh grassiness over fruity malts and hints of Belgian Ale yeast. Apple notes in the taste the grassy hops. Very massive dryness for Unibroue in the finish with these hops. Kills the sweetness of the malts found in a lot of their beers. Goes down easily like a very good Imperial IPA and alcohol is very well-hidden. Quite nice !

Fairly clean, just getting a tad haziness near last pour. Amber colour with golden highlights. The frothy head is off-white, decent lasting and leaving streaks of soapy lacing. Your typical Unibroue yeast, Belgian nose with some mild spices, hints of wood and vanilla. Smooth mouthfeel, on the thin side with decent dryness in the finish. Aromas keep on developing as it breathes with caramel notes, apples. Oak flavours, some spices, watery caramel and hoppiness in the end. Nice to have a lighter version of this classic, celebrating 30 years of the original.

Clean, golden colour with a big frothy-creamy white head, good retention and some creamy lacing left. Blackberry aromas giving some nice fruitiness, over witbier yeast and some herbal hints. The taste is milder, with the berries, light sourness and a tad tart left on the tongue. Gets a little hazy at the last pour. Some decent herbal touch help out, but still a little milder in the mouth, and not as good as the Ephémère fruity series was.

Can: Poured a clear pale golden color lager with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of cereal notes with some light sugar/caramel notes and light grainy notes. Taste is also a mix of cereal notes with some light sweet caramel notes and light grainy notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Average and a bit too sweet for the style.

Can: Poured a brown color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing Aroma of caramelized alt with some spices and light peppery notes. Taste is also a mix of caramelized malt notes with some light spice notes and a light pepperry finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. Easy drinking with a good amount of complexity.
