Keg at The Euston Tap, West Lodge, 03/10/19. Very light haze on a yellow to golden pour. Nose is tarte citric peel, lemon zest, faint piss, trace of acidity. Taste comprises grains, lemon zest, stale bread, white grape must, damp straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light pucker. Ok hybrid but nothing I’d revisit.

Backlog. On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - golden amber. White head. Nose - smoky wood but mainly toffee but some citrus cutting through Taste - wood and caramel. Light smoke and a whiff of citrus. Palate - creamy in texture with some bitterness cutting through what is generally a rich and slightly sweet body. Overall - good. Probably more interesting than good, but good all the same.

Bottle at home. It pours clear bright orange with a small bubbly white head. The aroma is musty, funky, barnyard, sweat, floral, herbal almost, damp basement, mouldy action and damp leaves. The taste is dry, puckering, rather sour, big kick of acidity, musty, funky, sweaty barnyard, lemon sherbets, pickled onion monster munch, salt and vinegar crisp and damp wood on the finish. Acidity lingers. Medium body and low carbonation. I like elemta of this, but the acidity is way high and there is some vinegary vibes. A bit of a face ripper!

Hazy amber colour lasting white head good rhubarb and custard kiddie sweet aroma. a good mix of sweet and sour. it's the kiddie sweet up front and then lemon sour sherbet finish. entertaining. yes I mean it's all flavouring but I can't say I didn't enjoy it. fun.
