Drink Hiver, save bees.
Un[bee]lievable right?
Well, the truth is we’ve been as committed to bees as we have been to beer since we started brewing our flagship fresh and natural blonde beer back in 2013.

Bottle from the brewer’s own stand at the Good Food Show at Birmingham NEC. Murky amber with a thin off-white head. Sweet with mild toast, caramel and honey. The honey is a lot less evident here than in their golden ale, so it’s possibly better balanced. On the other hand it lacks any real character or oomph and is just sweet, bland and a bit dull.

Bottle from the brewer’s own stand at the Good Food Show at Birmingham NEC. A sparkling gold beer. Taste and smell dominated by set honey with floral hints. The ale behind offers little more than a mild bitterness at the finish. As I often find with honey beers, the honey and beer don’t necessarily go very well together, but it’s rather nice honey here and the beer plays such a minor role that they almost get away with it.

On tap at the Sheffield Tap, at the train station, Hazy reddish brown colour with an off white head. Aroma is floral honey, but just a bit too much for me. Taste slight nutty and sour and big honey sweet finish.
