Cask at the Burlington - Mayfair, London. Pours deep brown with a dense, creamy khaki head; looks great. Moderate toasted malts in the aroma, some milk chocolate, a little earth, toasted pine. Medium sweet flavor with mild earthy bitterness, mild bittersweet cocoa, slight pine and ripening orange. Light bodied with average carbonation and velvety texture. Pretty nicely balanced to close, with further milk chocolate, soft piney bitterness, earth, mellow citrus fruits. A very drinkable entry-level CDA.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2015, Great British Beer Festival, London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX. [ As Trumans Zephyr ].Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, light to moderate hoppy, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, nutty, fruity, pale malt, caramel. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20150811]

Cask at the King’s Arms, Waterloo, 18/11/15. Light black with a decent tan head that retains well. Nose is liquorice, light charr, dark toffee, cocoa powder, roasted malt. Taste comprises light earthy hop, liquorice, treacle toffee, charred notes, red berry tickle. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Would have preferred a touch more hops but a drinkable CDA none the less.

Cask at The King’s Arm’s, Mayfair. It pours clear deep amber-brown with a thick, foamy off-white head. The nose is quite earthy, hint of funk, caramel, toasted brown bread, touch of apple pie, light spice and leather. The is quite bitter, earthy, wood, leather, light resinous aspect, spice, toffee and some bitter orange peel with a lingering dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. An adequate bitter, but it doesn’t quite stand out from the crowd in my opinion.

Cask at the White Hart, Holyport. pale amber with a tight cream head; sour grainy aroma; sharp sour grain taste at first with a fruity body; and a crisp grapefruit citrus bitterness giving a lasting finish. A crisp and clean golden ale.

Cask, on gravity at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol October 2015. Deep gold in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Sweet, cereal malts, a touch of overripe fruit, floral hops and a moderately bitter finish. Ok.
