On gravity at Worcester Beer Festival, 14/08/10. Pale gold with a slight, white head. Big, grapefruit hop aroma with a touch of sweetness. Flavour was similar with some added apricot, leading to a long, dry finish. Very good.

Cask at the Farmer’s Boy, St Albans on 11th August 2010. Clear gold and off-white foam giving spots of lacing. Aroma is hoppy with touches of cheese and unobtrusive sulphur notes. Main taste is floral and grapefruit hop with a lovely grassy note, and the finish is dryish on a light mouthfeel. 8/4/8/3/15 Re-rating 2015: Cask at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden on 22nd August 2015. Gold with almost white lacing head. Malty and finely hoppy aroma. Fine citrus and grass in-mouth. A bitter, hoppy finish. Zingy with a light body.

Cask@St. Radegund, Cambridge. Yellowish golden colour, small head. Aroma is grass, earth, yeast and some mild citrusy notes. Flavour is quite much the same. Not all that pleasant.

Cask@Cambridge Blue, Cambridge. Golden colour, small beige head. Aroma is nectar, fruits wood, mild bready notes as well as some herbs. Flavour is wood, fruits, quite bready, but sweet malts, some grassy bitter notes along with floral notes.

Cask@Deep amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is spices, wood, mild liquorice as well as some mild herbal notes. Flavour is quite much the same with some rather strong notes of juniper.

Cask at GBBF 2010. A golden coloured pour with a medium white head. Aroma of citrus fruit and hops. Tastes hoppy, grapefruit, bitter, crisp and refreshing. Typical Oakham, bags of flavour in a low stength ale. Nice.

Cask at GBBF ’10. Pale gold pour with a white head. Citrus, caramel and malts in the nose. Fresh, sharp flavours of caramel, nuts and fruit. Malty, bitter flavours. Quite nicely balanced. Good bitter finish.
