Oakham Ales is a multi-award winning brewery with a worldwide reputation for its innovative approach and for the quality and consistency of its brews. Oakham started brewing in Rutland back in 1993 and is now based in Peterborough (Cambridgeshire).
Famous as the first brewery in the UK to brew a beer with 100% Citra hops, Oakham celebrated its 25th anniversary in October 2018 and we’re looking forward to many more exciting years of brewing.

Cask at the Duke of St Albans, Highgate on 22nd May 2026. Clear gold with shallow off-white foam and full lacing. Sweet citrus aroma. Zesty citrus and hints of grassiness in-mouth, and a bittersweet citrus finish. Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

[50cl bottle from Morrisons.] A pale Perry coloured pour with an immediately dissipating white head; guava and mango aroma; matching taste with a grainy texture and a sharp bitterness; giving a long, crisp, bitter finish.

Bottle at home picked up from Morrisons. A clear golden pale coloured pour with a lasting white cap. Aroma is interesting weedy, light skunk, spicy nettle. Light biscuit. Flavour is composed of nice semi crisp pale grains, weedy hop, hedgerow, assertive hop bitterness, Ernest like vibes. Palate is semi crisp, light hop oils, mellow fine carbonation. Quite interesting.
