Gravity dispense at EBF XX, EUSC, 02/04/15. Very lightly hazed golden amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is malt forward, biscuit, light spice, earthy hops, caramel. Taste comprises bitter orange, caramel malt, straw, citric pith, light bread notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light astringent bitterness in the close. Decent enough best bitter.

Cask at Craft 100. It pours darkest brown with a foamy dirty beige head. The nose is cookie dough, soft, sweet, toasty, vanilla, grainy and dull toast. The taste is weak roast, earth, varnish, charred malt, leather, umami, light alcohol, burnt stuff and dirt with a pretty dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. I bit watery/weak all-round. Somewhat of a disappointment.

Cask, on gravity, at the Spring Festival at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. A headless amber pour; malty aroma with a touch of citrus; malty taste, with a gentle grassy bitterness; and some lime to finish. A pleasant ordinary bitter.

Cask (gravity) @ EBF17 2014, 17th Egham Beer Festival, Egham United Services Club (EUSC), 111 Spring Rise, Egham, Surrey, England TW20 9PE. [ As Ascot Alligator 1000 ].Clear medium golden amber color with a small, open and fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white almost clear head. Aroma is moderate malty, light caramel, moderate hoppy, flowers, butter. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, flowers, fruity, citrus. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20140419]

Craft Clerkenwell. Cask. Hazy gold beer, good off white head. Palate is light and smooth, modest fine carbonation. The pale malts are horribly grainy and cereally. Insipid orange hops. Apple. Malt dust. Dry finish. A shocker from this normally dependable brewery.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Islington, London. A hazy golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus aroma. Tastes hoppy, citrus, malty.

Cask at CASK. It pours deep brown with a decent beige head. The nose is smooth roast, earthy, wood, toasty, liquorice, umami and coffee grounds. The taste is smooth, earthy, toasty, ashy, dark fruits, coffee grounds and wood with a dry finish. Light-medium body. More of mild than a bitter. Well-rounded and rather drinkable.
