Cask. Gravity dispense. 40th Steel City Beer Festival, Sheffield. Nearly black. No head. Big vanilla. Coconut. Light, roast malt. Taste is dry, with some roast bitterness. Medium body. Long dry, bitter finish. I expected a bit more chew to this. Felt a bit thin. Smells lovely.

Cask at the Earl of Essex, 22/10/14. Very lightly hazed orange amber with a decent off white head that retains. Nose is earthy, bitter fruit, musty tones, toffee. Taste comprises toffee apple, light spice, musty linger. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close with a light bitter wash. Rather twiggy - no thanks!

Bottle from Hop Pole Shop, Aylesbury, Bucks, Consumed at home Sunday 12th October 2014. Twangy, fruity beer, yep itβs fruity with a little touch of tartness. Good brambley edge but stoutiness showing ok though it is a touch thin and a little watery. Its ok but nothing particularly exciting. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Bottle from Hop Pole Brewery Shop, consumed in Frank (camper) at Bell Inn campsite, Purton, Friday 4th July 2014 There is quite a big white head, bit sticky, a little hazy with a dirty gold appearance. Steady citrus flavours, hoppy and bitter, nice carbonation. Some curly orange and lemon combine well. Really, really nice. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Keg @ Ludlow Spring Festival May 14. Pours black with a creamy beige latte coffee head. I read chocolate, coconut and vanilla on the pump clip and I can confirm all are present and accounted for, wondrously blended together with the coconut rising just above the vanilla before a smooth long finish. Very impressed with this one.

Cask @ Gravity Station, Cardiff. Brownish indigo with only a small wispy ring of tan head. Chocolate and biscuit on the nose. Taste is intensely warming, sweet and packed with a chili hit. Not so much of the plum but Iβm not complaining. Hot, sweet, malty aftertaste. Iβm in love!
