Description
Ben, Sam & Graham started Pressure Drop in 2013, making 50L batches in Graham's garden shed. After upgrading to a 5BBL kit and spending a few years in a railway arch in Hackney (yep, we are the stereotype), we've found our home in Tottenham.

We now employ a small team of great people and have a bigger, nicer and shinier 20BBL brew kit. We're making the best beer that we can, in styles that we want to enjoy, and hope that you will too.

Bottle at home, from Ales By Mail, 16/11/13. Mid black with a fuck off tan head - this looks the bollocks! Nose is roast malts bolstered by a good hop splash, earthy, cocoa, jammy berry fruit, light mineral notes. Taste comprises earthy hops, chocolate biscuit, cocoa, light mineral, jammy fruits, light coffee strains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finale with prominent roast and an underlying hop profile. A fantastic porter for the ABV - great work Pressure Drop!

Cock Tavern. Keg. Hazy amber beer with a small white head. Palate is smooth with a light fine carbonation. Sweetish creamy malt, airy. Hops are mild pine with a little sweet tangerine and lesser tropical fruits. Smooth. Good flavour and very good drinkability. I just wish they would dial down the sweetness a little on their IPAs.

Bottle at home sourced at sourced market. Orange, caramel red coloured pour, with a dense cream head. Aroma is sweet caramel malt, light toast, hop is spicy hop with some resin. Some mineral in the nose. Flavour is full carame, munich malt, some toast. Hops are stick resin, pine, some metalic. Finish is assertive rough bitterness, but balanced with some sweet malts. Pale is fulll and slightly sticky. Another good one from the boys at Pressure Drop.

Bottle from Oddbins, London Bridge, London. A murky red/brown coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, tropical fruit aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruit, slight sweetness and an ever present bitterness in the background. A very nice IPA from the East End of London.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at Kristopher Wines. Pours lightly hazy, deep amber with a moderate, frothy tan head. Lots of ripe citrus in the nose, some pine, lightly toasted bread, grapefruit. Light to medium sweet flavor with lots of juicy, sticky hop character, a bit of orange and grapefruit, pine, mild bread, slight minerals. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly resinous to finish with restrained pine and earth, mild orange rind, juicy grapefruit, a bit of ripening melon. Pretty solid overall, well balanced, flavorful. I actually expected this beer to be a bit maltier with stronger pine resins due to the color, but I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the beer overall and the sincerity of the hops in particular. Good effort.

Light haze on this pale gold beer. Good white head. Palate is light and crispy, semi dry. Light sweet pale malt. Skunky hops. Ripe orange and passion fruit underneath the dominant skunk. Finishes dry. Not that bitter and a bit skunky.
