Another Citra IPA with spectacularly fresh popping grapefruit, orange and lemon elements. Does lack the depth and richness of the original. The can exploded on opening and I am not a fan of the body look or the head. Still very drinkable though.

A great double with many characteristics of the great San Diego-based doubles. An endearing unfiltered light amber body with a well laced puffy white head. The punchy nose features big rindy citrus hops with sweet malt undercurrents. This is a multi-faceted hop bomb. Fruity elements include heavy grapefruit rind, tropical fruit, pine resin and lemon. A solid biscuit malt balances the semi-astringent hops and there are some ripe berries lingering underneath if you can get beyond the bitterness. A relatively dense body and solid carbs add to party and the bitterness sustains really well. Off the charts great brewing story!

understated white head on an orange/straw body. Nice unfiltered look. A pungent fruity nose features a grapefruit lead. The taste is a well balanced mix of tropical and citrus fruit - lemon, grapefruit, orange and melon lead the way. A touch of resinous bite adds to the party. Bready malt adds a touch of sweetness but the aftertaste remains clean and crisp. The bitterness sustains nicely. I’ll definitely buy more.

Dark brown pour, large beige head. Aroma is very roasty, nutty, with some strong pine resin hops. Lightly burnt brown sugar, and slightly toasted bread. Mouth feel and carb are good, a nice refreshing beer. The finish is medium bitter with a strong piney, nutty kick.

Can. Hazy orange Pour, Large white head. Aroma has alot going on. Lots of candied citrus peel..... Especially orange, and some lemon. Fresh cut grass, and a pretty hefty bready malt. Hints of alcohol and some resinous pine round it out. Quite nice.... Good carb and the mouth feel is solid. Finish is medium bitter, with a nice pithiness to it. Malts and very wel balanced with the hops. Great citrus and pine notes. I love a well balanced double ipa, well done.

O:6.28 V:5.0 G:8.77 C:4.65 G:14.55 T:39.25
