Description
BridgePort produces a variety of international style ales, including IPA. BridgePort’s ales are naturally conditioned in the bottle, keg, or cask from which they are served - they’re never force carbonated. The natural conditioning creates ale that is smooth, naturally carbonated, and full of flavor.

As BridgePort Brewing grew in popularity, it also grew in its brewing capacity from its 600-barrel beginnings to over 100,000 barrels per year. 12oz Bottle pours out a nice brown topped with a tan head. Aroma was of coffee, sweet chocolate, malts, and some roast. Taste was more of the coffee, choclate, and a nice roast malt. Much better than I was expecting.

12 oz bottle into English pint. Pours a clear gold with a medium-white collapsing head; leaves a long-retaining blanket. Aroma is grainy, cotton candy, lemon. Taste is lightly sweet and dry, grainy with a hint of lemon. Carbonation is a little low for the style, body is light. Pretty boring, but would make a nice quaffer.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Pours a clear amber with a rough, off-white head. Caramel and perfumy hops in the nose. Quite full-bodied, plenty of caramel and a fine and slightly herbal hoppiness while the finish is intensely bitter. Quite delicious. 220611

12 oz bottle into English pint. Pours almost black with a thin beige head. Aroma is nice and strong coffee, bread and a vague unpleasant off-note (cooked vegetables?) that’s not offensive enough to bring the aroma score down too much. Taste is sweet and a bit sour. Carbonation is medium-high, body is medium, mouthfeel is creamy. I like it, but it’s not on the same caliber as the Mt. Shasta Shastafarian Porter I had right before this.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a medium creamy beige head that lasts awhile that leaves sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a bready malt with caramel and raisin. Thin mouthfeel with a rye malt and light hoppy finish. Hides the alcohol well, a good American strong ale from Bridgeport.
