Salué dès ses débuts par le regretté Michaël Jackson (auteur d’ouvrages de référence sur le whisky et la bière), Grégory Verhelst poursuit depuis 2000 sa quête du goût, sa vision de LA bière. En pionnier et à contre-courant. La brasserie de Rulles produit actuellement environ 4.000 hectolitres par an, avec un processus de fermentation en cuves ouvertes, montrant le spectacle de la levure et lui permettant d’exprimer toute sa magie..

BB 2012. Clear amber colour, white creamy foam. Notes of orange zest, oxidation, sweet malts. Taste is sweet, bit oxidized, still a lot of carbonation.

Draft. A golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of over ripe fruits, yeast, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, yeast, dusty hops, and over ripe fruits, leading to a dry finish.

Tap.Hazy Yellow colour with medium white head.Aroma of yeast and hops, fresh crispy with note of citrus fruits and pineappels.Medium body and nice lively finish.

Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen - Golden pour with white head. Sweet malty and citrus fruity, delicate notes of lemon, straw, hay, yeasty notes, icing sugar, medium body, light spiced fruity and malty finish.

Tap@Taphouse, Copenhagen - Clear golden pour with a white head. Sweet malty and fruity with some citrus notes, some lemon and orange, light citrus peel, sweet malty and light yeasty notes, medium body, touch of spice into the close.

Bottle. Millesime 2018. Color: Clear golden, white head. Aroma: Malt, forest fruit, hints of yeast. Taste: Over medium sweet, malty, notes white sugar, sweet (blue)berries, peach, yeast, light hints of grapes. Moderate bitterness. Alcohol is well hidden. Over medium to full body, below average carbonation. Nice but pretty sweet beer.

Bottle. After visiting Chris at Mi Orge Mi Houblon and visiting Jean at Jean le Chocolatier, I had to buy and try this beer. Color: Orange brown-ish, off-white head. Aroma: Floral hop, malt, fruity and caramel hints. Taste: Smooth floral hopbitterness, notes of caramel, grain, toast. Fruity hints. Foamy mouthfeel. Long finish. Medium body, soft carbonation.
