They miust have had the tap mixed up at bocktown. This was not even close to IPA territory. Sweet mild perfume on the olfactory. Looks like a yuengy. Seriously. can’t be IPA, more thin on the palate and it lacks that big ipa blast I have come to know so dearly. Yes, more like a medium APA, better restyle this. Fer sure, the label is misleading if you are looking for that big giant dull bitter ipa blast. Much milder, more fresh and very well behaved. So, overall I think this is not bad as expected! Yass, tap must have been wrong.

Sampled on draft at the Headkeeper this beer poured a nut brown color with an orange tint and a medium sized creamy orange-tan head that lingered forever and left great lacing. The aroma was floral and fruity hops - vague but pleasant. The flavor was bitter and malty with caramel, floral hops and leafy fruity hops. Long bitter hoppy finish. Medium body and reasonably smooth. Pleasant.

Bottled. An amber beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, straw, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and straw, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle@Yesprs - Amber pour with white head. Aroma and taste is fruity and malty, solid citric fruity hoppy notes, some caramel malty sweetness, hoppy bitter finish. Nice.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden deep amber to brown with a small off white head. Aroma is solid hoppy, pine and toasted malty. Pine and slight herbal, light grapefruity. Bitter and crisp hoppy finish.

Bottle. A- Barnyard, musty, A- Yellow color, clear liquid, white head. T- Lemon, wheat, banana, spices. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, O- The name implies blonde/golden ale, it’s listed as a wheat ale, and the bottle deScription says it’s a hefeweizen. Whatever it is, it lacks in taste.

Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brown/black with a dark tan head. Aroma of earthy, roasty chocolate. Full bodied. Flavor is chocolate, very dark and earthy, dark treacle, wood, red berry, anise note. The flavors are intense - so the wine barrel isn’t showcased - more of an included flavor. Really tasty - finishing dry, earthy, dark. As time goes on it seems to mellow and it’s easier to parse the flavors.

Enjoyed the nitro edition at the Yard House in Vegas watching my team play in the Grey Cup. Pours a dark brown colour with a nitro creamy beige head, good retention and thick creamy lacing. Nice chocolate nose remind me of the Young’s Double Chocolate stout. Eventually, light grass shows up. The taste starts off with chocolate but the hops really kick in quickly. Roasted malt lingers. Medium-heavy bodied. Quite a nice twist on the Young’s, adding the American touch of more hops. My team lost.
