Pint can. Pours a clear brown color with a big foamy off white head. The aroma is somewhat subdued with grains and some fruity esters. The taste, unlike the aroma, is a big blast of bananas with perhaps a trace of clove. The palate is full and crisp. Finishes long with lingering banana. Overall: More than decent--possibly the best example of this style.

0,5 l, bottle.
Thin head, not too sweet. I'd say this is your usual German radler, which I really like and appreciate!

Bottle @ home. My fist beer of this rare style (Rotbier). Unclear, reddish golden body under a fine, big tan head. Arom of malt, bread and caramel. Taste is on the malty side with bread, mild caramel and a hoppy edge. Well balanced in flavours and body, surprisingly easy drinkable and a perfect march to my toast.

A honest beer, ok to start an aperitive time, bready, rather dry, a bit fruity, side of wood not so pronounced, hop at the final, 12.10.19, tasting it at Amstein

Gemischtporige, relativ stabile Schaumkrone. In der Nase sehr rund und ausgeglichen, betont malzig, leicht würzig, rote Fruchtaromen, Karamell, leicht rauchig, dezente Holzfassaromatik. Im Geschmack ebenfalls super harmonisch, malzig, rund, kräftiger Körper, sehr samtige Textur, eine dezente Süße. Insgesamt sehr stimmig und rund.

Random purchase at an Xmas fair. 6.0% this version. Bright clear gold beer, tidy white head. Light palate, a mild dryness, good fine minerally carbonation. Smooth malts, sweetish, a little creamy and mildly nutty. A modest hoppage, a little cooling pine and modest rounded citrus. Light finish. Clean and pretty drinkable.

16oz can. Oooh this one nails it. Rich malts, solid hop balance. Richer, more depth than most US examples of the style I try. Decoction or something. This is quite enjoyable, deeper malt tone than I anticipated.

A minimal hazy yellow golden colour, small white head. Aroma of juicy citrus lemonade. Taste of tart fresh citrus lemonade, sugar, easy to drink.

Nice! Not from Bamberg but it made me think...why is there no Radler Rauchbier? A smoked pear juice/ Rauchbier mix would be stellar. Wake up, Bamberg!
