Sampled from the tap at Whichcraft. Pours black with a creamy brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has bourbon and vanilla supported by sweet dark grains, roasted malts and a bit of chocolate. Flavor has creamy sweet dark grains and bourbon with chocolate, vanilla and a hint of roasted malts.
Heavy sour and tart finish, but for me mad drinkable fruited strong ale, dunno the deets on it but sure is a nice sipper. Like a sweet liquor almost. Tart fortified wine vibes.
Sweet syrupy sugary molasses. Not feeling it at the moment but will be back! Real sweet desserty and soft.
Definitely bold, definitely rhum sweetness on top of thick thick bold RIS. Massive RIS finish, sweet hella smooth rhum nose and forward, tbh I'm not a rum expert and definitely not a rhum expert, but I know this is boozy and delish. Roasty in a good way.
2017 bottle, huge yeast cake in the bottle, still fermenting for sure as it was quite active when opened, crazy vineous flavors for just oak, grapey, white peach, raspberry. Not much brett funk either, seems like a saccharomyces castle. Fruity galore.

Bottle from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a creamy tan head. Aroma of chocolate with a peanut note. Full bodied. Flavor is peanut, chocolate and burnt malt with a bit of saltiness. Arguably towards dry. But it's towards sweet too. Peanut skins (not hulls) is in it. This would go great with BeerNuts. Good.

12 oz. can purchased at Total Wine - The Rim, San Antonio, TX. Pours a super dark brown color with a dark tan head and very good retention. Spots of lacing. Dark malts aroma. Charred malts flavor with a little dark bittering chocolate in the finish. Slightly thin for a porter. Low carbonation. Easy going, as advertised. Nothing great, nothing bad.

One of two 12 oz bottles (bottled on 8/31/20 it says on the label) in a special release box found in Ft. Worth a few weeks ago. To commemorate the occasion, I'll be using a Cowtown Brewing snifter for the pour. I see a black liquid with the barest indication of brown around the edges with an all there-before-flattening, tawny tan head. Nice scent, very boozy with dark chocolate and berries. A drink now, geez, no disappointment here. It's like a slice of semisweet chocolate cake that is infused with alcohol. Black licorice, cocoa powder, raspberry, dark bread, malt, caramel and molasses. An obvious input from the strong ABV content. Not for the unprepared.
