This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice clear golden yellow color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipates within about a minute. There’s not really any lacing.
The smell had a good combination of sweet citrus hops to sweet caramel malts. There’s even a small dose of honey.
The taste had a nice sweetness all around. There isn’t an aftertaste but it has dry finish.
On the palate, this one sits about a light on the body. There’s a decent sessionability about it.
Overall, well it’s a pretty good beer. There just isn’t much with the wheat. Still, this one shows it’s worth in the Summer months.

12oz bottle pours with a gold body that supports an off white head. The aroma offers up some grapefruit citrus hops, spicy hops and a bit of tropical fruitiness. The taste starts prickly with carbonation and that brings up bitter tangelo and grapefruit like citrus hops and then a touch of mango. It gets into a brief moment of malt sweetened hop flavor before the hop bitterness takes this into the finish. Pretty nice but this seems biased toward the bitter hop side and the above average carbonation makes it feel more thin than it is. Despite the lack of balance and thin body I’m am up for trying more of this. It’s a nice refreshing hoppy brew.

Perfect summer beer, light, tasty and refreshing. Small head, but sticky lacing. Light cereal aroma,ostly cereal taste, abrupt finish with a tinge oh hop bitterness

Bottle. A- Hoppy, piney, caramel. A- Copper color, clear liquid, white head. T- Bitter, caramel, malty, citrus, piney. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- A pretty standard IPA in my view. It’s fairly smooth but there was nothing that wowed me with this one. Well balanced at least.

Howler purchased at Liquor Shed in Casper.
A nice slightly hazy reddish gold with a 1 finger....quickly shrinking head of foam. It leaves some lacing behind.
The smell is mostly of piney hops. Being in the lower spectrum for the style, I was hoping for some kind of sweetish malt presence but I can’t seem to get any. I’m now getting a bit of grapefruit; it adds a nice touch to the hops but again, where’s the malt?
Taste fits the smell to a t. Almost. I DO get a slight hint of malt sweetness but it doesn’t seem consistent on every sip. There now, not there now. Currently, it’s there so I’ll judge the beer accordingly.
I have no qualms about the mouthfeel. Medium bodied with perfect carbonation.
Overall, it comes across, for me, as an amped up IPA without getting into serious malt territory. Maybe that’s a good thing cuz the abv is not very noticeable?

Bottle, corked. 2010 vintage. Pours a milky reddish brown with a strong boozy aroma. Slightly boozy cherry flavor with a sweet fruit finish. Definitely a nice aged flavor to it. I was a little disappointed in this. It’s not bad, but wouldn’t call it great either.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow with a thin, short lived white head. Aroma has notes of grapefruit, grass, resin and pine. Sweet flavour, slightly acidic with notes of citrus, hay, resin and a dry, bitter pine finish. Light body, watery texture and average carbonation.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear copper with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out some nice piney hops with a bready malt backbone. Flavour is very bready malt heavy, with almost a rye-like quality, with very moderate hoppiness. Seems more like a hoppy pale ale to me. All in all, well-balanced and drinkable, just nothing special.
