Bottle shared @ tasting. Hazy pale peachy color, average sized white to off-white head. Smell and taste sweetish, blossomy and floral, maybe even a bit perfumy. Meh. Not very good.

Bottle shared @ tasting. Clear orange pink color, small off-white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, lightly wheat, very sweet, candy sweet, artificial raspberry and a bit floral / blossomy. Average to decent body and carbonation. Meh. Too sweet.

Cette ultrablonde de la brasserie Scåssenes est une bière plutôt plaisante, sur une amertume agréable sans qu’elle en soit cependant particulièrement intéressante. En bref, de quoi passer une bonne soirée avec des amis en été. En verre, l’ultrablonde est blond doré (EBC aux environs de 21) avec une mousse blanche d’un centimètre environ. Le nez est frais, sur le houblon avec des arômes floraux, fruités (pomme, poire et une pointe citronnée) et de miel. L’attaque, souple et sur un bon équilibre malt/houblon est avant tout floral, sur les céréales mais avec une pointe d’acidité citronnée. La deuxième bouche est légèrement plus amère, florale avec des arômes de pêche en complément. L’arrière bouche quant à elle présente une amertume plus saillante avec des notes de coriandre. La troisième bouche, linéaire, précède un final relativement long sur une amertume saillante et agréable. L’alcool, progressif, est bien dosé à l’instar du sucre, et la corpulence, quant à elle est moyenne. Un bon moment tout de même. Il faut savoir se contenter des choses simples quelquefois.

Aus der Flasche (Brasserie d'Ecaussinnes / bottled 2012) im 2020-05 getrunken. Dieses Ultrabrune stammt mit seinen fast 8 Jahren noch aus der Brasserie d'Ecaussinnes. Von den 3 Flaschen konnte ich 2013-01 das 1.Mal probieren wo es durch seinen kräftigen und süßlichen Charakter mit cremigen Mundgefühl auffiel. Später die 2.Flasche 2013-12 mit mindestens 1 Jahr Lagerung auf dem Buckel war aus dem kräftig und süßlich mit cremigen Mundgefühl eine sehr deutlich Honignote dazu gekommen! Sensationell! Und nun viele, viele Jahre später 2020-05 wurde nun die 3. und letzte Flasche geöffnet und als Erstes fiel auf das Süße komplett abgebaut, es war kurz ein Hauch von Honigaroma wahrzunehmen aber ansonsten waren einzeln Aromen nicht genau erkennbar in diesen über Zeit entstandenen Aromageflecht. Das ist einfach ein grandioses, vollmundiges Bier wo man sich einfach nur zurück lehnen will und genießt.

Hazy golden color with a fine thick off white head. Ok lacing. Fine intensity in the aroma. Medium (+) body and an average carbonation level. A bit sweet and a oily texture. Yes it is like a floating cookie with cinnamon. Nice flavor, but one is more than enough.

Many thanks for this beer to Eric De Geyter. Piana srednia, raczej malo trwala, malo osadza sie na sciankach mojego sniftera. Kolor czerwony, niemal krwisty. Zapach winny w smaku czerwone, polslodkie wino czerwone, czerwone owoce, truskawki, troche tortu wisniowo-czekoladowego. Mocne, rozgrzewajace, alkohol srednio ukryty ale nie przeszkadzal, mimo sporej slodyczy jest w tym piwie odrobina wytawnosci i nawet chmielnosci. Ciekawe i godne polecenia
