Do not serve chilled or cool or whatever the bottle says. Very dark and cloudy brown. Small but thick head that becomes rocky, and remains as a thin layer on top of the beer until the last sip. Cold immediately from the bottle the beer has little aroma, little flavor, and far too much carbonation; so much so that it seems to effect the flavor as footbalm said. After warming to room temperature there is malt, fruit, and very light spice. Flavor of rich sweet malt, some fruit. The alcohol is well hidden in the flavor. This tastes like a dubbel, but with the abv so high, it would be fair to call it a quad. Pleasant.

(bottle) Slightly hazy orange colour with a lacy frothy white head. Sweet orange and peach aroma, malty and slightly syrupy with a touch of wheat. Sweet fruity flavour, medium to full bodied, light fizzy. Heavy orange fruity and sweet malty taste, alcohol-warming, English marmalade like sweetbitter lasting finish.

Dark amber to brown color; huge thick head. Nice aroma, malty, old, light hops. Malty and sweet taste, medium spices (cinnamon, ginger…).

Hazy dark amber color. Good mix of spices in the aroma. Malty, mellow, spicy, extreme Christmas beer, but very pleasant for me. Ends with chewy caramel and fudge as well.

Bottle@Criterion, Leicester. Dark beer with a strong head. The aroma is heavily malty and the flavour is malty and syrupy. Overall a great beer.

Bottled. Cloudy dark brown, firm creamy head. Very herbal with lots of almond character and toffee. Sweet with soft mouthfeel. Flavourful with notes of spun sugar, fur needles and caramel. Low bitterness. Too sweet, but still very enjoyable with all the flavours it’s packed with.

Bottle, at Plan B, Copenhagen. Fine spicy and oaky aroma, vinous notes. Flavour is spicy and VERY sweet. Would go well with Christmas cakes, I guess.

Dark brown color with dog food and chocolate in the nose, which was surprising for a Belgian Ale. Rich, chocolatey smooooth mouth with fig, chocolate and snuff and a big dry malty chocolately finish.
