Bottle. A clear, golden beer with a small, creamy beige head. Hoppy nose with pine, tending towards fluor, as well as a full maltyness. Malty and sweet flavor with beef-stock notes and a good dash of piney hops to balance to, rather than overpowering it as I more or less expected. Full to medium body and a long, piney finish. A beer on the hoppy side, but more balanced than many APA’s, and quite low on bitterness. Easy to drink and quenching. (080412)

12oz bottle-pours a rich off white head and amber/copper color. Aroma is medium malt, tea-herbal, some spice. Taste is medium malt-caramel, tea-herbal, some spice hops. Some metallic tannins distract from beer that seems to be a cross of an Irish/American amber. Soft carbonation.

Weak aroma of wheat, grapefruit, and honey. Clear copper, with a thin vanishing tan head. Dried leaf, grain, and pine needle flavor, very dry. Definite honey finish. Watery mouthfeel, but honey notes are a nice touch.

Lightly roasted malt aroma. Dark amber clear pour, with a thin yellow head, good lace. Metallic sour malt. Grain on the palate. Too sour for the style, but I don’t mind it. Not very balanced, but not a bad every day beer, especially in the spring.

Smells of cheap beer and a little grain. Clear gold, thin head. Light grain flavor, with a grass finish. This is pretty much crap and can barely be considered a bock. It screams Miller.

The best of JW Dundees. Great Price at $5 and change for a 6pack. Pours wiht an off-white, rocky head covering a clear amber body. Good lacing. Fruity aroma with vanilla and almost burbon in there. Tastee is bitter with vanilla undertones, but the balance is messed up. Tastes a bit like a baby, watered down barely wine. Fizzy mouthfeel.
