Keg. Looks golden, a bit hazy, the small head disappears almost straight away. Aroma- malt, cereal, bready, spicy. Taste- quite full in the mouth, a bit of spice, citrus hints, wheat and malt, some carbonation. Finish is quite long with lemony hints. A very good lager.

Chelmsford Summer Beer Fest. Cask. Lightly hazy gold beer, small bubbly white head. Palate is light and a little dry. Mild fine carbonation. Very light pale malts. Little floralness. Pleasant light juicy orange and tangerine. Light dry finish. Nicely done. Light but tasty and one of those ales you could session without effort.

Cask at the Claret, Addiscombe. It pours black with a small beige head. The nose is bitter-sweet, toast, some acidity, light soy sauce coffee and toasted sesame. The taste is bitter, roasty, liquorice, salty touch, mild acidity, coffee, hint of soy sauce with a dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Textbook cask oyster stout. Pretty solid.

cask at Market Porter in London, review from many years ago - Pours a light amber color with a thin, frothy, long lasting head. It has a mild, malty aroma and tastes of caramel malt with mild bitterness. It’s a straightforward, easy drinking beer.

Keg. Appearance- black, foamy beige head which persists. Aroma- hints of milky chocolate, malty. Taste- smooth, bitter, chocolate hints, some bitter coffee, dry roast. Good stout, perhaps a bit on the chilled side when I had it.
