Description
We are a small and independent brewery which has been making great beer for over fifteen years, winning both SIBA and CAMRA awards for our beers.

We brew in small batches by hand with the utmost regard not only for flavour but also for quality and consistency, using the finest British barley and a mix of both Kentish and World hops.

A bit of history: Established in 1995 as Swale brewery in Milton Regis, Sittingbourne, moved to Grafty Green, Maidstone in 2001. Sold to the ancient Whitstable Oyster Fishery Company in 2003.

Cask handpull at Thomas Ingoldsby Spoons Canterbury. Clear gold lasting white head. It’s an ok under hopped golden ale. Not much wrong with it other than it could do with more hops. Some hop sting on the finish.

Cask at the Three Mariners, Hythe, Kent, Thursday 6th February 2014 Pours sparklingly clear mid gold with superb clarity, a white filmy head atop. A very old fashioned bitterness comes through but it is clean and refreshing. General fruitiness as oppossed to specifically citrus or other. Very pleasant golden bitter. A6 A5 T7 P3 Ov13 3.4

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear light amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is stale malt and weak hops. The flavour is medium bitter. Medium bodied with a bitter liqourice palate and a long rather unpleasant bitter finish. Can’t say I really enjoyed this too much. The aftertaste wasn’t good. It’s refreshing but the hops don’t really work for me. I need my pale ales to be a little more "pale"!

330 ml bottle from Tiddly Pomme, Faversham. Dark brown, almost black body with a medium sized off-white hard that almost disappears immediately. Quite weak aroma of roasted malt. Flavor is also a bit weak and plain. Light roasted malt, not much bitterness and except for some salty tones in the aftertaste there is not much flavor to pick up at all here besides the light malt flavor. Rather thin body. Drinkable, but when I get quite bored after just the half bottle I’m disappointed.
