Bottle shared at Leighton’s place. Many thanks to Paulo. Medium brown coloured pour with a lasting mid tan head. Aroma is charred wood, robust, chilli, farmyard and campfire. Flavour is composed of charred wood, smoke, nutty grains, robust malt. A little dirty on the tongue. Palate is airy carbonation, Lingering roast. Where are the hops?

Bottle from Buchanan’s. It pours hazy deep amber with a small beige head. The nose is bitter-sweet, big hit of sage, bready malt action, almost medicinal and candied orange. The taste is crisp, bitter, bready, cereal, quite herbal, sage is pretty obvious, toasty grass and light caramel sweetness with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Works way better than expected. Not too bad at all.
