Bottleshare at Leighton’s Stratoflat. Thanks to Paul. Almost opaque dark brown beer, decent tan head. Smooth airy palate, modest fine carbonation. Fluffy malts, mild dark character, some tang and light cream. A little fruity tang comes in. Airy semi dry finish. Pleasant enough.

Bottle from Buchanan’s. It pours hazy deep amber with a small beige head. The nose is bitter-sweet, big hit of sage, bready malt action, almost medicinal and candied orange. The taste is crisp, bitter, bready, cereal, quite herbal, sage is pretty obvious, toasty grass and light caramel sweetness with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Works way better than expected. Not too bad at all.
