Description
Created in 2003 by Christophe and Alexia Noyon, the Brasserie Artisanale des 2 Caps, when it started, had a dual vocation: that of giving a new economic dimension to the small family farm to make it sustainable and that of maintaining the remarkable built heritage, that constitutes the Ferme de Belle Dalle.

Thanks to the work and passion of the men and women who compose it, it now has real know-how, which has been rewarded multiple times in competitions. Over the years, the quality and finesse of its beers have attracted a growing number of palates in search of authenticity.

Darker yellow with faint greenish shine; good creamy, bubbly white head. Citrus, citruspeel, touch of coriander, perfumey. Dry, again typical orangepeel, a bit peppery, no restsugars whatsoever. Quite refreshing, spritzy. End of MF gives a sourish impression into the aftertaste. Certainly not a bad witbier, coriander held in check.

Huge, very dense & fine just yellowish head, persistent and leaving fine lace over golden beer with orange highlights. Fruity, hot malts, gassy, garden weeds & herbs. Toasted malts, bit of caramel, tad sweet with a fine bitterish finish, and a CO² enhanced sourishness. Flowery, more garden herbs. Delicate but sure balance. Titillating, not fizzy; light to medium body. Excellent, light drinking ale - pity about the too discreet nose. Worth looking for!

Enjoyed with a nice French goat cheese. Initially pours with a creamy head, some chill haze in the yellow body. Retention is good. Taste is slightly sweet with a bit of coriander, melons and grapes. I had know idea this was a witbier, it tastes like a much darker beer than it appears. Very rich with alcohol and yeast. A bit dry in the mouth. The beer is a nice complement to the cheese. Towards the end of the bottle the pour becomes much cloudier with the yeast. Sent in a picture.

Bottle, 75cl corked. A clear, dark ruby beer pouring with a dense, beige head. Some sourness in the aroma, as well as chocolate, roasted malt and coffee. Chocolate, coffee, some sourness and bitterness in the flavor. Dry, slightly sour finish. Sure, it’s drinkable and all that, but it’s just not up there. (080215)

750 ml bottle. Dark red, almost black body with a big beige head. Relatively vague aroma of roasted malt and liquorices. Flavor is roasted malt, liquorices and seaweed. Not very harmonic in my opinion.

(Bottle) Golden colour with brief, frothy, white head. Fruity, floral nose with notes of lemon, citrus peel, jasmin, incense and honey. Fruity, floral taste with apricots, banana, pineapple, white bread and honey. Some sweetness, dut drier than expected. Delicate notes of spicy hops in the rather short finish. Fairly friendly and nice example of the style.
