Cameron First Light Session Lager 4% Crystal clear gold with a semi sweet aroma and the flavor is bready crisp with honey but not hoppy notes.

Barley wine are always a bit hard to rate as that booze is quite an impediment. But...sweet malt, helps balance out the booze hit. Vanilla oakiness, mild astringent bitterness that lingers. Strong but good. Would be nice to have this one in a bottle to cap and spread out, rather than a can to have in all of one go. But I'm a lightweight.

Pours a clean light-golden colour with a frothy white head, decent stay and very nice dirty lacing. Cereal grain aromas with hints of wet hay and sweet maltiness. Some medical notes come in after a while from the hops, that does not give a natural feel, unlike the malts. The taste has the maltiness, like bread notes with a touch of honey. Remind me of the malty, honey-hinted low-alcohol beers, but this one has 4% ABV. so not the best for a light brew.

Draught @ You’ll Never Walk Alone, Kolding. Pours hazy straw with airyvbut stable white head. Clear aroma of hops and citrus, with estery notes and malty touches. Bitter flavour of hops and citrus, with sweetish notes og yeast and touches of malt. Bitter aftertaste with estery touches. Refreshing and quite enjoyable.

Can. A- Dusty, musty, toffee. A- Garnet copper color, clear liquid, tan head. T- Bitter, earthy, toffee, booze, slightly sweet, mild maple. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, aggressive finish. O- Wow. This was one aggressive brew. A bit boozy but not bad for 12%. This was an aggressive American style BW though. Lots and lots of earthy bitterness from the coffee and hops as well as a dusty taste and aroma. Maple added a faint bit of smoke and sweetness but it was minimal. Coffee was bitter and earthy, and very little bourbon character. The thought of molasses, white chocolate, and dark fruits was lost on me. Way too bitter. This needed some aging.
