Bottle purchased in Kansas - cloudy amber - soapy head - this is definitely one for fans of more malt-forward ipas, as a thick, sweet, doughy malt character swallows up the hop bitterness throughout - the hop flavor is there, but is more of an earthy/leafy flavor with only low amounts of the acids detectable - this almost makes this taste more like a watered down american-style barleywine than an ipa - it’s not bad, just kind of muted.

Bottle purchased in Kansas - pour doesn’t look like much - hazy copper with low carbonation and a very thin ring of lace - the peppers hit the nose first - no spice, really, but rather the underlying sweetness of them, especially the jalapeno - nothing too vegetal, thankfully - under that is some clean, sweet maltiness - the flavor is like "how to do pepper beer 101" - dry, crisp, crackery maltiness and a moderate hop bite serve as a nice base to the heat from the peppers - pepper flavor is minimal and the heat is strong but not overpowering (unless you don’t like spiciness, I guess) - nicely done - word to the wise: if you don’t like spicy food, don’t drink spicy beer - done.

Pour is a dark black with a little light shining through. Aroma is very nice. Nice roasted malt with chocolate and a touch of coffee. Flavor is about the same but not as eye opening. A nice roasted malt hits you then some black licorice and finishes a bit watery. This was a well made porter from a brewer I’ve not enjoyed too much from.

Pour is a redish brown with a small tan head. Aroma is a brown sugar and caramel malt. Flavor is a rosted nut with some caramel and brown sugar. No alcohol is too be found. If you have had a Weston beer and hated it, give this one a try. Plently flavorful for a bock.

Fresh 22oz bottle ($4) poured into an oversized wine glass. Pretty looking beer, dark brown but allowing for clarity. Nice thick head that lingers. The beer is clean, malty, slight sweet, very drinkable. A bit of earthiness and bitterness at the very end. Nice full mouthfeel, nicely felt on the cheeks. The malty and slight toasty sweetness is not sugariness and the beer is clean and well attenuate. What else can you want from this type of beer? For a more detailed rating Indra provides a great description and I agree with everything except I do not get any of the esters (bubblegum) that he mentions and I think I enjoy it more.

Bomber from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours pretty black with a very dark tan head. Aroma is very dark chocolate. Near med body. Flavor is bitter burnt malt/bitter dark chocolate. It’s dry. It’s bitter. Irish stout? Seems like it.

Bomber from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours dark and ruddy with a slight beige head. Aroma is caramel with lots of hop that’s not very citric or resin. Med body. Flavor is caramel with lots of hop that’s not very citric or resin. Not exactly earthy, but that’s about as close as I can come. It’s hoppy. It even burns a bit. Hebal hop? At the very end there’s a tobacco leather note. Mysterious.

How good to put in #10. Bomber from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours copper with a creamy/bubbly whiteish head. Aroma is chili over pale malt. Tho the chili is messing with my nasal mucosa. Med body. Flavor is def chili, def pale/weak lager, but there is actually some mango flavor. Finish is dry. Like it’s so hot it has to be. This is going to wash down some Papa Murphy pizza. Battle of the daikaijū for sure.

Have had this twice now, first on tap, very fresh and then in bottle over the weekend. I love pepper beers but this is not my type. I understand the point was to be sweet and hot but there was too much sweet (and not at all recognizable as mango) covering up to pepper, which I crave. Even though I do not like the structure of the beer, its still decently executed. Just too sweet for but I think that was their point.

Pour is a sick looking yellow with a small white head. Aroma is exactly like fresh cut green peppers. Flavor is overcooked peppers with an intense heat after the swallow. Probabily good for cooking but awful for drinking.
