Bottle @ Kulminator. Red brown colour. Aroma of red fruit (raspberries) and artificial sweeters. This beer is over the top. Too old and some cardboard taste.

Bottle. 1981 vintage. Pours dirty brown with no head. Nose and taste of dirty earth, caramel, pond water, dirt and more dirt with some old farmhouse sludge. Lots of sediment. Well past its prime. Medium body.

Bottle, 25 cl.. Gueuze Eylenbosch cuvée spéciale, exp. date 1991. Nice amber colour, still a bit foam. Medium carbonation. This old beer has some oxidation. Sweet/sour taste with notes of caramel, citrus and candy sugar. I tought this was a traditional geuze without sugar or sweeteners, but it wasn’t.

75 cl. bottle sampled @ Kraddel does 1K tasting. Procured by Kraddel. Cheers. Unknown Vintage – no indication of date on the bottle. Looks quite old – 1980s origin maybe? Cork is completely rotten through, blackened, crumbling apart entirely. Some filthy gunk on the bottle. I thought that all of the Eylenbosch beers were sweetened and pasteurized but this tasted like the real deal, wonderful surprise. Decanted the bottle – ridiculously murky overripe peach amber with a creamy white head. Surprised how much great carb. here. Nose is wow, so sour, incredible surprise, I am even getting acetone in the nose, big tart, vinegar, lots of fruits, musty,… Taste is big sourness, peaches, orange peel, vinegar, toffee, tart, light herbs, touch bitter herbs, lots of musty cellar in the best way imaginable, citrus, bitter barn, some citrus burn in the back of the throat. Thick very creamy body. Wonderful – wowza. This is a incredible geuze and beer. Far better than Sélection Lambic.

EPIC ! at my 1000th review tasting ! FUCKED UP CORK i pulled it out for 90 % ( in 15 pieces ) the rest kept stuck , with a hole in the middle wich we poured trough. it looked discusting. how old is this , even ? no sign of bottledate, anywhere.... looks orange, smells very sour. tastes very sour as well, combined with apples, and that ’dusty’ element ( this is at least 20 years old, so ... ) dont know what happened to the previous rated bottles ( were they even more fucked up ? ) cause this one was PHENOMENAL !

1990 Vintage. 375mL bottle at Grote Dorst, pours a fairly clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is full of dry cardboard, wood, and old dry leather. Flavour tastes very old, with notes of dry cardboard, wood, and leather. Tastes very old with no sign of any "off" notes despite this being 23 years old. I would love to have tried this new side-by-side with an old one, but this tastes fantastic. What a wonderful experience to try such an old beer.

high ratings, fucking much wants, no gots ( almost) , so yeah, i’m curious ! at kulminator, 1987 vintage. pours clear, lighter brown, no foam. smells soapy, vegetables, flat. sweetness in the back , but lost almost all raspberry flavour. too old, had no clue it was sweetened.. didnt held up very good.
