Bottle pours a clear deep dark black witha HUGE milk chocolate colored head, leaving blocks of sticky lacing. Aroma is slightly sweet and of dark roasted malts. Some slightly sour purple grape notes as well. Flavor is very charcoal and smokey. Feel is thin but smooth with surprising low carbonation given the major head action. Not as sweet as I expected from a foreign. Thanks BuckeyBoy

Bottled @bar next to Carlsberg Sky Tower, Singapore
Pale yellow color, good creamy white head. Grassy, slightly skunky Saaz-type hops in the nose. Starts grassy hoppy, then turns sweet fruity malty - "normal Carlsberg". Malaysian Carlsberg’s effort to make German pilsener.

Almost opaque black, creamy expresso head, lace. Roasted cold coffee aroma with some sweet berries and yeast. Medium-bodied, smooth mouthfeel. They hace certainly tried to copy Guinness FES with this: roasted coffee beans, cold coffee with alcohol bitterness. Clean and balanced and quite tasty FES.

An interesting combo of BBQ sauce and Halltertau hops in the nose. The start is so bitter it took me by surprise. The mouth has liquorice, dark chocolate, dark fruit, but is light bodied for the style. The finish has a unexpected bitterness to it with some alchol warming. Man, this is definetley the hoppist beer from Carlsberg and IMO their best offering.

Canned. Black, small beige head. Nice aroma of licorice and coffee. Sweet and very harsh with molasses and metal making up most of the flavour. Inky finish. It’s hard to go very wrong with foreign stouts, but if you brew it this poorly it’s possible.

Can, Kuala Lumpur
Dark color; brownish creamy head. Good body structure; strong coffee character overall, with some caramel, liquorice and a light sourness.

Bottle, Kuala Lumpur, with Mibsy
Another Asian classic brew, watery, a bit sweet, not bitter enough: poor.

A pale yellow beer with an OK head. The aroma is slightly malty with notes of straws. The flavor is slightly malty too from a good malt blend despite the color. It ends on a slight bitterness and has a good palate. An above average beer. I must say I was suprised of the quality and that it actually tasted of something.
