18/7/2024. Cask at the 2024 Chelmsford Summer Beer & Cider Festival. Pours clear golden with a small bubbly/frothy off-white head. Good looking beer. Aroma is malt, caramel, grains, citrus, grass, gooseberry, passion fruit. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness and body. Oily, smooth, soft carbonation. Nice bitterness to finish. Likeable and more enjoyable from cask.

Back from the dead! Always good to try and retired Harviestoun. Now at 4.1%. it pours clear golden - blonde with a medium, fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, mellow, bitter - sweet, biscuity, brioche, custard creams, touch of lemon curd and some floral accents..The taste is crisp, dry, clean, snappy bitterness, grass, touch green, fresh, fragrant, floral, pithy, lemony and clean malt base with a drying, slightly peppery finale. Light to medium body and soft carbonation. A mellow, but enjoyable crusher. Pleasing level of bitterness.

2017 bottle. Black with a creamy, beige head. Oak aroma with black currant and dark chocolate. Taste is bitter with a touch of toffee sweetness, an indistinct fruitiness, and plenty of ashes at the finish. Body to the full side of medium, very mild carbonation—not surprising I suppose for a seven year old bottle. Pleasant.
Very malty, woody, smoked, hint of peat, surprisingly light, but full body
