Cask at the standing order. Pours clear amber, nose is malty toffee, caramel, grass, taste is sweet toffee, hay, floral. 6/6/6/6/6.5

Draught @ Brouwerij Lane, Brooklyn (Feb 2024). Inky black with a small foamy tan head, caramel aroma, low carbonation, bitter taste malt taste with molasses, strong rum undertones, thin, smooth body, long bitter finish with alcohol aftertaste. Very potent.

On cask at the Guildford Arms. Appearance - jet black with a thin tan head. Nose - dark chocolate, coffee and liquorice aromas. Leather and new car smell. Taste - more leather, some raisins and molasses. Some boozy whisky and wood. Palate - full bodied, creamy and elegant. Overall - superb.

Cask at the Guildford Arms. Pours black with a thin tan head. Rich coffee and liquorice aromas, some leather too. Taste brings the whisky and sherry. Dark chocolate and leather linger. Nice.

Nahezu schwarze Farbe mit beiger Schaumkrone. Malziger, röstmalziger Geruch mit Whisky. Geschmacklich malzig, röstmalzig mit Karamell, Whisky und Trockenfrüchten. Hohe Süße mit mittlerer Bitterkeit, voller Körper mit sanfter Kohlensäure.

Bottle #02660, Oct 2021, drunk 2/22/24. Dark, clear, mahogany tints. Small, light beige head quickly to edge. Really nice peppery whiskey with a bit of peat on the end. Chocolate, light prune and tobacco. I like that it's not a nose full of dark fruit, but actually shows more base malt. Clean. Lovely peated malt from the whiskey with some chocolate, light roast and toast and a bit of malt depth, though not a lot. I don't need these to be rich and thick but they all seem to be just a bit on the thin side, despite the flavors being excellent.
World class classic porter with the whiskey twist. Great beer. Dry, crisp, drinkable. Sterk ams
