500ml bottle. Golden body with a dense white head. Hoppy, fruity, bitter aroma. Flavor is fruity, citrus, sweet malty and well balanced bitterness. Nice, tasteful and refreshing beer.

[bottle] The colour is black and the head is dense. Coffee and cocoa aroma. Flavour is very roasted with notes of coffee, still very smooth and drinkable. Tastes a lot like Guinness but with more balls.

Cask @ Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a clear pale yellow color with a small white head. Sweet malty fruity citrus aroma. Sweet malty zesty citrus flavor. Fruity citrus finish with a bitter aftertaste.

Pours very dark with just the faintest of ruby highlights and has a deep brwon head. Aroma is Chocolate, sweet malt, lightly roasted coffee, and some alcohol. Medium body with a fairly smooth body, but it does have noticeable carbonation. Chocolate, roasted malts, sweet, dark fruit, and a bit of alcohol. Finishes with more alcohol. Tasted side by side with the original, which is better than this brew. Still, this is a great ale.

Pours a deep brown with ruby highlites and a large deep tan head. Candied malt malt, dark fruit, alcohol, lightly roasted coffee, and cocoa. Has a very smooth and creamy texture on its medium body. Flavor is bittersweet chocolate, toasted malt, smoke, and some dark fruit. Well blended with nothing overpowering the overall enjoyment. Finishes smooth and lasting. I had a great time with this one. Tasted side by side with the Special Reserve, the original being the better of the two.

Cask at GBBF 2006. An orange beer with a thick white head. The aroma is sweet malty with quite strong flowery notes. The flavor is sweet with a very nice note of flowers.

Cask handpull at Knights Templar, JDW, Holborn. Pale gold, thin lasting white head. Slightly thin and ascetic, golden bitter. I was hoping this would be best of the lot and it isn’t. Yes, it has wheat, yes it has some harsh citrus hops. Good citrus beer, along the Harviestoun lines but lacks intensity and is a sub Oakham White Dwarf.

33 cl bottle. Thick brown color, short-lived head. Deep coffee stout smell. Definitely stoutish in taste, but some Scots ale smoke character, and, according to their website, some American hops. Heady, yet not alcoholic, just stuffed with dried fruit, coffee, chocolate. Has all the complexity of a young imperial stout, with twice the alcohol of this bonnie brau
