Cask at Bohemian, Deal, Kent. I kind of agree with Gazza in that English wheat beers just do not bear any relation to their continental cousins. However, I don’t have a problem with that as the citrus fruit and american hops in this hit all of the right buttons for me. Simply gorgeous.

Cask at a pub/hotel somewhere in Glen Devon. Had a couple of pints of this with fish and chips on a Friday lunchtime and instantly became one of my favourite Harviestoun beers. It has the typical Harviestoun american hops on the nose, but has more of a rounded malty flavour than Bitter and Twisted, but there is still the nice citrus flavours. Excellent

Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Darkish amber. Citric, lightly roasty aroma. Sweet and fairly light bodied with rich grapefruity hop character. Bitter, lightly resiny finish. Good, but Harviestoun can do better.

[Cask at Cockney Pub, Århus] A hazy orange beer with a small light brown head. The aroma is very flowery combined with a distinct malt character. The flavor is dry with notes of toffee and flowers, leading to a lovely bitter end.

Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Bronze colour. Grapefruity hop aroma. Dry and light bodied with rounded mouthfeel. The rich hoppiness creates a near shampoolike flavour. Feels fresh. Lingering bitter finish. A weird cross of styles with it’s very american style hop character and British style malt character.

Gravity cask at Red Lion, Snargate. Amber coloured, with typical Harviestoun hop nose, some lemon citrus fruit, then the reminiscent american dry hop finish. Not my favourite Harviestoun, but nice enough

Gravity cask at Ashford Beer Festival. golden brown, sweet hoppy nose, sweetish malt in mouth with good flowery hoppy finish. Typical harviestoun flavours throughout. I enjoy this type of beer

330 ml bottle, trade with maeib. Black colour, impenetrable for light. Moderate tan head. Looks like old engine oil, smells like old engine oil too - just add dark and roast malts, oak, leather, liquorice and dark bitter chocolate. Lovely roast malts flavour, oily texture. Elements of oak, dark bitter chocolate and substantial hops, maybe some dried fruits and English liquorice too. Great roasty bitter aftertaste with elements of peaty smoke. A great beer! Bottle from Sainsbury, Ashford, Kent Golden beer with a surprising wonderful aroma with the late addition of hops. Flowery hops dominate throughout with citrus lemon coming in. Superb example of a beer of this type

Cask at Reading Beer Festival. Normally I like Harviestoun beers, but this one was disappointing. Mid gold colour, but thin in mouth, not a lot of nose and little overall flavour.
