750 ml green bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 12.3%. Deep golden colour, pours moderately sparkling with a small and shortlived white head. Aroma of honey, alcohol, elderflowers and lemon. Pleasant and slightly dry flavour with notes of honey, elderflowers and lemon.

Bottle. A clear chestnut colored beer, still and oily. Honey, bourbon, cherry notes, vanilla, alcohol, generic fruityness and some dried fruits. It's full-bodied, oily and warming, sweet, with a good honey and fruityness flavor. Vanilla, sweetness, alcohol, sweetness and some berry-ish sourness in the flavor. Cherry, some raspberry and a faint hint of blackcurrant. Even some cocoa and caramel. Lasting finish. Hides the alcohol super-well, tastes really nice, and is well worth a revisit if possible. 220417

Bottle. An oily mead, deep golden in color, still and headless. Looking beautiful actually.The aroma has a bit more honey than I expected, with alcohol, booze, some pecan, flowers and vanilla, a touch of maple syrup and some very faint woody hints. It's full-bodied, warming and lightly sticky on the palate, with a very light tannin touch. Honey, flowers, some vanilla and lime, pecan and a good dash of maple syrup in the flavor. Not much impact from the barrel ageing detected in the flavor, but there's much more maple syrup than in the aroma. And in the very end, the maple syrup shines even brighter. A delicious one indeed, pity I didn't prepare any food pairing. 220313

On tap at Nærbø Ølfestival. Courtesy of the meadery. It's an almost clear one, amber to brown in color, oily and flat. The aroma has a load of berries, raspberry standing out, with alcohol, a touch of flowers and cocoa, and of course some honey. It's warming, full-bodied and oily on the palate, super-smooth, with a light sugary flavor and feeling. Berry-driven flavor too, still raspberry doing most of the heavy labour. Alcohol notes, some flowery honey touches, cocoa and toffee, which I guess is from the barrel treatment, and then a quite intense and lasting flavor continuing in the same direction.
